Euclidean reconstruction from an image triplet: a sensitivity analysis
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper studies the sensitivity in Euclidean reconstruction from an image triplet taken by an uncalibrated camera mounted on a robot arm. The idea of such a reconstruction is closely related to that proposed in 44. In this paper, we focus on an intermediate step of the reconstruction procedure which requires estimating the screw axis that corresponds to the defective eigenvector of a 44 matrix. Hundreds of the conducted synthetic tests show that the algorithm is very sensitive to image noise and perturbations on camera motions and that if the matrix is perturbed by Gaussian noise then the reliability of the computed screw axis can be estimated.

Auto-Calibration and Motion Recovery from Silhouettes for Turntable Sequences
This paper addresses the problem of structure and motion from silhouettes for turntable sequences. Previous works have exploited corresponding points induced by epipolar tangencies to estimate the image invariants under turntable motion and recover the epipolar geometry. In these approaches, however, camera intrinsics are needed in order to obtain Euclidean motion and reconstruction. This paper...
متن کاملAssessment of the Log-Euclidean Metric Performance in Diffusion Tensor Image Segmentation
Introduction: Appropriate definition of the distance measure between diffusion tensors has a deep impact on Diffusion Tensor Image (DTI) segmentation results. The geodesic metric is the best distance measure since it yields high-quality segmentation results. However, the important problem with the geodesic metric is a high computational cost of the algorithms based on it. The main goal of this ...
متن کاملEuclidean Reconstruction from Image Sequences with Varying and Unknown Focal Length and Principal Point
In this paper the special case of reconstruction from image sequences taken by cameras with skew equal to 0 and aspect ratio equal to 1 has been treated. These type of cameras, here called cameras with Euclidean image planes, represent rigid projections where neither the principal point nor the focal length is known. It will be shown that it is possible to reconstruct an unknown object from ima...
متن کاملUltra-Fast Image Reconstruction of Tomosynthesis Mammography Using GPU
Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) is a technology that creates three dimensional (3D) images of breast tissue. Tomosynthesis mammography detects lesions that are not detectable with other imaging systems. If image reconstruction time is in the order of seconds, we can use Tomosynthesis systems to perform Tomosynthesis-guided Interventional procedures. This research has been designed to study u...
